A 22-year-old female presented to the family medicine clinic for a routine check. She complained of missing her period. Urine HCG was positive. The following image was obtained.

What is the diagnosis?

A. Ectopic pregnancy
B. Single pregnancy
C. Molar pregnancy

 

 

Single pregnancy is the most likely diagnosis.

Explanation

Single live intrauterine embryo was seen. Findings are consistent with single live pregnancy. Be sure to look for evidence of cardiac activity and yolk sac. The yolk sac should also be visible and normal looking.
