About Digital Badges

The Point-of-Care Ultrasound Certification AcademyTM Digital Badge Program

The POCUS Certification AcademyTM has partnered with Credly to provide digital badges for our certification and certificate holders. Digital badges help certification and certificate holders promote their achievements to employers and colleagues. These badges are digital versions of your certifications and certificates and link to detailed information, so when someone views your badge they can easily find out more about your skills, knowledge and abilities.

In addition to sharing your achievement easily, the POCUS Certification Academy has also assured that your badges are aligned with our partner organizations. This allows your accomplishments to be closely associated with the credibility of not only the POCUS Certification Academy, but also the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS®), a trusted sonography organization for over 45 years!

What are the benefits of digital badging?

  • Easily share your achievements on LinkedIn, Facebook,  Twitter and Whatsapp.
  • Show your network that you are a POCUS user whose skills and knowledge are independently verified by a globally recognized healthcare organization
  • Make it easier for people to find information about your POCUS Academy Certificate or Certification

What can you do with your digital badge?

  • You can share your badge on LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, and Whatsapp.
  • You can download your badge image and URL to embed in a resume, website or email signature
  • You can personalize your profile to highlight your specific POCUS expertise

What is the process for claiming a badge?

Claiming your badge is simple. After you’ve earned a certificate or certification you will receive an email from The POCUS Certification AcademyTM with details on the POCUS Certificates and Certification Digital Badging Program. Then, Credly will send you an email with instructions on how to claim your badge:

  • Click the link in your Credly email notification
  • Create an account on Credly
  • Confirm your account and claim your badge by selecting the link provided in the Welcome email from Credly

Watch this video, Credly How To: Manage your badge, that shows the process step by step.
