September is rapidly approaching, and we are counting down the days until the point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) community joins us for the 2021 POCUS World™ Virtual Conference.
This one-of-a-kind event will be an opportunity for individuals to “share ideas on how to improve the community, push the community forward, and push the use of point-of-care ultrasound forward,” said Jasmine Rockett, the Deputy Director of the POCUS Certification Academy™ (POCUS Academy).
We will have the opportunity to attend 58 sessions across the following three diverse conference tracks:
- Clinical Application
- Medical Trends
With such a diverse library of information and available content, the POCUS Academy is offering a three-month window where the sessions and other resources will be available to ensure attendees have the chance to engage with as much of the content as we could desire.
Attending this conference allows us to expand our network, share ideas on how to further the use of POCUS, and earn continuing medical education credits (CMEs). With its innovative sessions, networking opportunities, global reach, thought leaders in the medical field, and more, we have a lot to look forward to as POCUS World approaches. We will leave the conference with new insights and skills, more connections, and a deeper appreciation for how this modality can redefine healthcare.
As our excitement for this unique collaborative, informative, and international event grows, the POCUS Academy encourages attendees to be proactive in preparing for the conference to help us gain the most out of our experience.
POCUS World is connecting a global community, and its virtual format means we will each be in our unique work environments. The POCUS Academy is committed to ensuring all the information and resources are accessible to attendees.
They encourage us to sign up for email notifications to stay on top of up-to-date conference news and announcements. You will also want to keep an eye out in your inbox for the welcome packet and instructions being sent out two weeks before the event. Within are details on event attendance, FAQs, and resources to help amplify your virtual experience..
While the conference is not until September, we do not have to wait until then to engage with the community. With its digital format, the conference cultivates a virtual environment that encourages networking to transpire before, during, and after. Healthcare is constantly evolving, and there is always time for innovation and growth to elevate the care we provide.
We can connect with our fellow medical professionals today on Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn by using #POCUSWorld and #POCUSWorldConference in your posts. Then, when the conference starts, we’re geared up and ready to continue the conversation through the features offered on the conference-hosting platform Digitell Inc.
How we present ourselves in our profile photos and real-time video feeds will leave an impression and open the door to connecting with fellow attendees. Although we are not physically together, it is still important to remember to dress to impress.
To help prepare for the conference, run the system checker before the event to allow for troubleshooting to help create a smooth experience. If we run into any technical issues, Digitell Inc. will offer technical support available through email, phone, or chat before and during the event.
Before logging on for the conference, take the time to review the platform and compile the available virtual resources. That way, we can minimize hurdles and maximize our experience.
This is one event we want to ensure we are prepared for, so we can take full advantage of all that it offers! POCUS World is uniting the community in education and action by bringing us together so we can help further improve healthcare through using portable ultrasound. We will grow as individuals and as a collective community, and all of our patients will be served better because of it.
