According to Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs, every human being has five basic needs that must be met to live a full and satisfying life. Each builds upon each other with physiological needs setting the foundation. Not too far from that bottom base is the need of belonging and love.
Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs teaches that before we can truly experience self-fulfillment, we have to conqueror our sense of belonging. This feeling of being a part of something that is bigger than self is usually found in community – a group of like-minded individuals fellowshipping together and sharing similar attitudes, interests, and goals.
The Point-of-Care-Ultrasound (POCUS) Certification Academy’s mission is to improve healthcare globally while bettering outcomes for individual patients. We firmly believe that through a community of healthcare and medical professionals working, sharing, and striving together to bring POCUS to the forefront of patient care, we not only can achieve self-fulfillment but can change the face of healthcare around the world.
Collaboration and shared learning are vital to the POCUS Certification Academy’s mission. We have developed and provided several methods that form connections and build bridges to help our community engage with and learn from one another.
Our online communities are a sure-fire way to seamlessly engage with other healthcare professionals and find opportunities to work together towards similar goals. Be sure to like or follow us on Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn. Here you’ll stay abreast of our events and initiatives and most importantly, connect with peers worldwide.
The learning continues with our Focus on POCUS podcast. When you subscribe, you gain access to discussions on all things POCUS. The practice, the trends, and its impact on healthcare are brought to you by thought leaders defining its place within medicine. Focus on POCUS is also a platform where we invite you to share your voice. We encourage you to participate so others may hear your invaluable insights. Contact us at email@example.com to learn more about being featured on Focus on POCUS.
Make your voice count by also volunteering as a subject matter expert for the POCUS Certification Academy. We are always looking for volunteers to contribute their POCUS expertise. Creating content and overseeing the quality of our certificates and certifications is an opportunity to do so. Learn more about how you can volunteer today.
As you are helping others grow, we ensure progress for you as well. We want this to be a community that you are proud to be a part of and provides you value beyond measure. We’ve partnered with Credly to offer digital badges to our certification and certificate holders. These badges are a digital version of your certifications and certificates to promote your incredible achievement to others.
You also signify to other certificants that you are part of an elite group of medical professionals working together to bring unprecedented care to the entire world.
These opportunities to connect, unite, and develop together are only the beginning. We’ll be providing additional ways for our certificants to participate with us and each other. Stay tuned!
We look forward to having you on this journey of not only self-fulfillment but in serving the healthcare needs across the globe. Join us!
