Gastric Point-of-Care Ultrasound
POCUS represents a valuable adjunct to the armamentarium of anesthesiologists and emergency physicians, offering real-time, non-invasive assessment of gastric contents and aiding in the diagnosis and management of gastric pathologies. By enhancing patient safety, optimizing anesthetic management and expediting diagnosis in emergency scenarios, POCUS holds great potential to improve clinical outcomes in the field of anesthesia and emergency medicine.

Dr. Noreddine Bouarroudj serves as Consultant Anesthesiologist and Chief of the Department of Anesthesiology and Critical Care at the Clinique Maissalyne. He is the Director of the Masterclass of Ultrasound Guided Anesthesia and POCUS for anesthesiologists and Director of Anesthesie Club. He is Co-Editor-in-Chief at UJACC Universal Journal of Anesthesia and Critical Care (Editorial Board) and has been invited as a conference speaker and workshop trainer on POCUS and Regional Anesthesia locally and internationally. In 2023 he started a new position as Director of Continuing Medical Education for French Speaking Countries in AFSRA (African Society of Regional Anaesthesia).
