Dr. Yanick Beaulieu is a cardiologist-intensivist at Hôpital du Sacré-Coeur de Montréal and at the Montreal Heart Institute. For the past twenty years, Yanick has been a pioneer in the teaching of POCUS ultrasound in Canada and around the world and has contributed to the training of thousands of health professionals in this discipline.
20 years ago, Yanick created a full POCUS curriculum named ICCU and co-patented an ultrasound simulator named Vimedix that were both sold to CAE HealthCare in 2010. He then created Reacts, an interactive remote collaboration and tele ultrasound platform that was sold to Philips in 2020. He served as the Medical Officer for Philips Ultrasound from 2020 to 2024. He now works as a scientific advisor with Deski, a company developing a cardiac ultrasound guidance application.
