Webinar:

Pocket Echo, Big IQ: AI-Enhanced Cardiac POCUS

August 12, 2026 | 10am ET

This cardiology webinar will focus on how advanced cardiac POCUS can enhance real-time bedside assessment of ventricular function, volume status, and hemodynamics, complementing comprehensive echocardiography rather than replacing it. The presentation will highlight practical image acquisition, interpretation pearls, and emerging AI tools that support clinicians and trainees in making faster, more confident decisions across inpatient, outpatient, and critical care settings.

Learning objectives:

  1. By the end of the webinar, participants will be able to acquire and correctly optimize parasternal long, parasternal short, apical 4‑chamber, and subcostal cardiac POCUS views in at least 80% of patients on whom they practice within 4 weeks, as documented in their local quality log.
  2. Within 1 month of the webinar, participants will use advanced cardiac POCUS to qualitatively assess LV function, estimate volume status (IVC and LV filling), and screen for significant pericardial effusion in at least 10 consecutive patients, recording findings and correlation with formal echocardiography when available.
  3. Within 3 months, participants will implement or update a brief cardiac POCUS protocol and documentation template in their practice (clinic, ward, or ED) and present at least one de‑identified case where cardiac POCUS changed management to their local team or teaching conference.
