Sonographic Evaluation of Medial Meniscal Extrusion

In this webinar, Dr. Savage will describe the background and clinical value of sonographic evaluation of medial tibiofemoral joint structures – including meniscal extrusion – in patients with arthrogenic knee pathology. He will demonstrate and discuss static and dynamic evaluation methods, including non-weight bearing positions (e.g., supine resting vs passive knee extension overpressure) and weight bearing positions (e.g., single and double limb standing) for producing medial meniscal extrusion as measured using ultrasound imaging.

- Describe the clinical value of sonographic measurement of medial meniscal extrusion during medial tibiofemoral joint examination.
- Understand the role and clinical value of performing static and dynamic sonographic measurements of medial meniscal extrusion in patients with knee pain or tibiofemoral joint pathology.
