Individual Clinical POCUS Certificates & Specialty POCUS Certifications
What are POCUS Certificates and Certifications?
The Point-of-Care Ultrasound (POCUS) Certification Academy™ offers a variety of online assessments to test and validate your proficiency in point-of-care ultrasound. Each individual Certificate has a clinical focus area, while the Specialty Certifications include a set group of clinical areas related to a medical specialty. The POCUS Fundamentals Certificate* is a prerequisite for all additional POCUS Certificates or Certifications. Upon successful completion of the applicable assessments, digital badges are awarded for each POCUS Certificate or Certification, providing proof of your professional skills in point-of-care ultrasound.
Why Point-of-Care Ultrasound?
Point-of-care ultrasound equips healthcare professionals with a valuable tool to provide their patients with a higher standard of care. POCUS is portable, allowing for real-time imaging and on-the-spot interpretation in the hands of experienced providers. This modality provides accuracy without the use of ionizing radiation or the costs associated with other imaging techniques.
Start with the POCUS Fundamentals*
By completing your two-part POCUS Fundamentals Certificate assessment, you’ll be eligible to earn either other individual clinical POCUS Certificates and/or POCUS specialty Certifications.
Demonstrate your knowledge in point-of-care ultrasound and receive 4 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits or 4 AAPA Category 1 CME Credits* in the process.
