What are POCUS Certifications?

The Point-of-Care Ultrasound (POCUS) Certification Academy™ offers a variety of online assessments to test and validate your proficiency in point-of-care ultrasound. The POCUS Fundamentals Certificate is a prerequisite for all additional POCUS Certificates or Certifications. Each individual clinical certificate has a focus area, while the Specialty Certifications include a set group of clinical areas related to a medical specialty. Upon successful completion of the applicable assessments, digital badges are awarded for each POCUS Certificate or Certification, providing proof of your professional skills in point-of-care ultrasound.

Why Point-of-Care Ultrasound?

Point-of-care ultrasound equips healthcare professionals with a valuable tool to provide their patients with a higher standard of care.
POCUS is portable, allowing for real-time imaging and on-the-spot interpretation in the hands of experienced providers. This modality provides accuracy without the use of ionizing radiation or the costs associated with other imaging techniques.
