Ultrasound guided vascular access is proven to be safe and to have a high success rate. The procedure’s ability to improve safety, increase success rates, and reduce patient discomfort makes it an invaluable tool in various clinical settings. Potential complications include infection, bleeding, and inadvertent arterial puncture, though these risks are much lower than those associated with traditional techniques due to improved blood vessel visualization.

This presentation aims to increase awareness of the procedure’s relevant anatomy, indications, contraindications, required equipment, and correct technique.
