About Our Speaker

Dr. Joshua Guttman is an Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine at the Emory University School of Medicine. Dr. Guttman completed medical school and residency at McGill University and an emergency medicine ultrasound fellowship at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. He recently completed a 5-year tenure as the advanced emergency medicine ultrasound fellowship director.

Dr. Guttman is a nationally recognized POCUS leader, having given over 65 national or international POCUS presentations and numerous POCUS CME courses to a variety of specialties. Dr. Guttman is also an expert in POCUS operations, is the American College of Emergency Physicians Ultrasound Section Coding and Reimbursement Chair and responds to reimbursement related queries from around the country. Dr. Guttman also serves on the council of the Emergency Ultrasound Fellowship Accreditation Council and is the chair-elect for the American Academy of Emergency Medicine Ultrasound Section.

Dr. Guttman is also the founder of Peachtree POCUS, which provides consulting services for POCUS operations, including workflow, education and reimbursement.
