An Introduction to a Knee Ultrasound
Join us for an exciting session with Dr. Shirish Sachdeva as he explains the basics of performing a knee ultrasound in a point-of-care setting.
This webinar is designed to simplify the process for beginners to perform and understand the evaluation of a knee using ultrasound in a point-of-care setting. It aims to supplement the clinical musculoskeletal (MSK) examination with practical ultrasound techniques. Participants will learn to differentiate between normal and abnormal structures within the knee joint, evaluate common causes of knee pain, and integrate ultrasound findings into a comprehensive management plan.
Learning objectives:
- Interpret ultrasound findings comparing normal vs abnormal structures commonly examined on an ultrasound in a knee joint.
- Understand how to evaluate the knee for common causes of knee pain.
- Integrate ultrasound pathologic findings into a conservative management plan with physical therapy and rehabilitation and, when needed, appropriately triage the patient.
