What is the most likely diagnosis?

  1. Normal left lobe of the thyroid
  2. Agenesis of the left lobe of the thyroid
  3. Hypoplastic left lobe of the thyroid

Explanation

The image shows a normal isthmus and a normal right lobe of the thyroid. Observe that the left lobe of the thyroid is significantly smaller in size.

Figure 1. Normal right lobe and isthmus. Observe the much smaller left lobe of the thyroid.
