POCUS in the Management of COVID-19 Patients

This month’s webinar will highlight the importance of POCUS in the management of COVID patients and will correlate lung ultrasound findings to the presentation of critical and severe COVID cases. Additionally, the webinar will discuss the utility of POCUS in mitigating other COVID-related complications, such as deep vein thrombosis. Visperas is an Internist – Pulmonary Vascular Medicine Specialist who has special interest in Point of Care Ultrasound of the lungs, heart, and deep veins. She is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Physiology and Department of Medicine at the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery, University of Santo Tomas. She teaches lung, heart, and deep vein ultrasound to her Physiology and Medicine students and her Pulmonary Fellows at the University of Santo Tomas Hospital. About Our Speaker

Dr. Julie Christie G. Visperas is an Internist – Pulmonary Vascular Medicine Specialist who has special interest in Point of Care Ultrasound of the lungs, heart, and deep veins. She is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Physiology and Department of Medicine at the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery, University of Santo Tomas.
