This ongoing pursuit means the work never stops. It only gets better. So, what’s next? Well, take note: Commencement of a new phase in building out this vision has arrived.
POCUS World, the virtual conference here to unite a global community in education and action, is a two-day event hosted by the POCUS Certification Academy™ (PCA). Taking place September 17 and 18, this groundbreaking experience is being launched to support the medical community in upholding POCUS standards.
As the only global conference in 2021 focused solely on the clinical application of POCUS, POCUS World is the one professional development opportunity where attendees will engage with the healthcare community through networking with peers, collaborating to define POCUS standards, connecting and learning from renowned POCUS users, and participating in hands-on demonstrations of the latest applications of point-of-care ultrasound.
PCA is inviting you to join and help take the lead in bringing POCUS to the world. Proposal submissions for relevant, high-quality educational asynchronous sessions or poster sessions are accepted now through April 30, 2021. Submit your application by the deadline and receive notification via email of your proposal acceptance status by mid-May.
Consider adding your voice to this monumental affair. Accepted asynchronous speakers will submit a prerecorded presentation contributing to the attendees’ on-demand experience. Pre-recorded sessions are 30 minutes. Poster sessions are 5 – 10 minutes and will offer a prerecorded overview of your poster.
Presentation and poster subjects to cover:
- Clinical Applications – Discuss POCUS applications currently used or in development. Case reports are acceptable.
- Medical Trends – Explore recent POCUS developments in medical practice settings: quality measurements, workforce development, and emerging challenges.
- Technology – Demonstrate new tools advancing medical societies’ efficiency, web design, and mobile and online technologies.
POCUS World will elevate the medical community’s perception and usage of POCUS immensely. With your added knowledge and expertise, this virtual experience will transform and deepen the imprint that this pocket-sized modality is already having on the world of medicine.
